Gotham West Market is a foodie's paradise. It's a place where you can go to get a little bit -- or a whole lot -- of just about anything, CBS2's Alex Denis reported.

Food lovers have an assortment of options all under one roof.

Stop by Cannibal for a selection of sandwiches and hot dogs, opt for a gluten-free dish at Indie Fresh, or snack on seafood and Spanish tapas at El Comando.

"This is sardines, this is octopus, we had the croquette," Marietta Tangorra said. "It was delicious, delicious."

The goal of these gourmet food courts is to satisfy every type of palette. No longer will one restaurant suffice -- New Yorkers want options, making community dining so popular.

"We wanted New Yorkers, who have the most discerning food taste in the country, maybe the world, to appreciate the food, enjoy the food," Christoper Jaskiewicz, president of Gotham Properties and Hospitality.

Gotham is expanding to Fort Greene, Brooklyn with "Gotham Market At The Ashland." It is expected to open in the next few months.
