Report: Giants To Work Out Wes Welker, Hakeem Nicks, Chris Cooley
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, the Giants will work out wide receivers Wes Welker and Hakeem Nicks on Tuesday.
I'm told the #Giants are working out WRs Wes Welker and Hakeem Nicks, among other players today, per their regular kick the tires Tuesday.

Big Blue is also working out former Redskins tight end Chris Cooley, Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News reports.
Welker, 34, is a five-time Pro Bowler. The 5-foot-9 veteran played in 14 games for the Broncos last season, catching 49 passes for 464 yards and two touchdowns.
Nicks was drafted by the Giants in the first round (29th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft and played for them until 2013. He won Super Bowl XLVI with New York and scored 27 touchdowns in his five seasons with the organization.
The 27-year-old spent the 2014 season with the Colts and signed with the Titans in April. He was released by Tennessee earlier this month.
I don't expect workouts for Nicks, Welker or Cooley to be anything more than due diligence by #Giants, a "just in case" situation. We'll see

Cooley, a former All-Pro, hasn't played in an NFL game since 2012.
Victor Cruz, who has been out with a strained calf, is expected to make his season debut on Sunday when the Giants take on the talented Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
In addition to Cruz, the wide receivers on the Giants' active roster include Odell Beckham Jr., Geremy Davis, Dwayne Harris and Rueben Randle.
The Giants, along with the Redskins and Eagles, are 1-2. The Cowboys lead the NFC East with a 2-1 record.
