Investigators Suspect Arson In Fire That Shut Down Garden State Parkway For Hours

BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police say it appears a fire that shut down a section of the Garden State Parkway for several hours Wednesday night was intentionally set.

Flames erupted near Exit 91 in Brick Township. Traffic was backed up for hours while crews worked to get it under control.

Investigators believe a group of people, possibly juveniles, started the fire in a nearby drain pipe and then ran into the Evergreen Woods Apartment Complex.

Police are still looking for them.
