Gap Inc., ATF Offering $15,000 Reward For Info On Massive Distribution Center Fire

FISHKILL, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Gap, Inc. and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are offering a reward for any information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection to a massive fire at the Gap, Inc. Distribution Center in Fishkill earlier this year.

The ATF is offering a reward of up to $7,500, which will be matched by Gap, Inc., bringing the total reward to $15,000, officials said in a release Wednesday.

About 600 employees were safely evacuated from the Fishkill facility on Merritt Boulevard just before 11 p.m. on Aug 29, when the fire is believed to have started on the second floor and quickly spread.

The fire caused heavy damage to part of the facility.

Officials determined the fire was "intentionally set," following an investigation by the ATF National Response Team.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the ATF by calling at 1-888-ATF-FIRE, emailing ATFTips@atf.gov, or by visiting their website at www.atf.gov/contact/atf-tips or reportit.com. Tips can remain anonymous.
