Freshly-Cut Christmas Trees Increase In Price

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Expect to pay more this season for a freshly-cut Christmas tree.

As CBS2 reported, the average cost this year will be $20, a 10 percent hike from last year.

The price hike is due to a summer drought in some areas that reduced the supply and snow in the Midwest delaying the delivery of many trees.

However, buying locally-grown trees could help you save by eliminating the transportation costs.
