Freight Locomotive Derails, Spills Fuel In Maspeth, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A freight locomotive derailed and spilled several gallons of fuel Tuesday evening in Maspeth, Queens.

No crew members were injured, officials said.

FDNY crews were on the scene to attend to the spilled fuel.

The tracks where the derailment occurred are operated by New York Atlantic Railway Freight. Metropolitan Transportation Authority passenger trains were not affected, officials said.
