Francesa: Jets Doing Their Part To Get Bowles Fired

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Mike Francesa wasn't calling for Todd Bowles to be fired Tuesday, but he wasn't sticking up for the Jets coach, either.

"There's two things that will get you run out of town. The first is when there's nobody in the ballpark, when the fans don't show up ... ," Francesa said on his WFAN show a day after the Colts blew out the Jets 41-10 on "Monday Night Football." "The second is when your team doesn't show up. And last night, you had both.

"I am not a big believe in continually to turn over coaches, but there is no way anybody in their right mind would defend the scene we saw last night," he added. "A half-empty stadium in a primetime game with the team being mortified on national television and the team not even bothering to work up a sweat -- that's how you get fired."
