LISTEN: Alan From Queens Pushing For Mets Reliever Logan Verrett To Make All-Star Team
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Alan from Queens is already taking it upon himself to campaign for New York Mets reliever Logan Verrett to make the All-Star team.
Mike Francesa took the call from Alan Wednesday as he was wondering what would it take for the reliever and extra starter to make it to the "Midsummer Classic."
"Where do you get this stuff from? Why would you be worried about a guy who isn't even in the rotation?" Francesa responded. "Why would you be worried about a guy like that – in April – making the All-Star team?"
Verrett has appeared in six games so far this season, posting a miniscule 0.55 ERA over 16 1/3 innings.
