Parks Department Car Flipped By Forklift In Brooklyn, Suspects Sought

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for suspects who used a BobCat forklift to flip a NYC Parks Department vehicle in Brooklyn over the weekend.

Sources say suspects took control of a forklift parked on-site for a construction project on Joralemon Street near Brooklyn Bridge Park at around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Once behind the wheel, they used the BobCat to flip a 2000 Nissan Leaf hybrid upside down on its side.

Photos provided by the NYC Park Advocates show that the car was apparently charging, with the wire still plugged in to the front of the vehicle  after it was flipped.
