Fireworks.

Stefany Jimenez of Northport was awestruck at her first ever Jones Beach fireworks show, CBS2's Dave Carlin reported.

"It's pretty amazing right now," said Deer Park resident Daniel Garcia.

The return of fireworks to the state park gave beachgoers a brilliant finale to their day in the sun sand and surf.

"When you hear about Long Island you think Jones Beach Fourth of July and that's automatically you think that right away so you're here so I'm here," said Brentwood resident Eddie Flores.

"It's great that were able to bring it back," said George Gorman with Jones Beach State Park. "Weather is great and what better place to have a fireworks then beautiful 6 1/2 mile Beach from here on Jones Beach."

The fireworks display was put on hiatus due to budget cuts, Carlin reported.
