Fire Rips Through House In Hackettstown, New Jersey In Bitter Cold

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- First responders from multiple counties were dispatched Wednesday night, when a blaze ripped through a home in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

The fire broke out around 5 p.m. in the basement of a home at 401 Jefferson St. in Hackettstown, local police said.

Flames later shot through the roof.

Crews responded from Warren, Sussex and Morris counties, police said.

Fire crews had issues with water lines and frozen hydrants, police said. There were also frozen fire trucks.

A photo from the scene showed a wall of flames erupting from the roof of the house.
