Fire In Storage Room Prompts Partial Evacuation Of High Rise Near Times Square

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A fire in a Midtown Manhattan storage room prompted the partial evacuation of a high rise near Times Square Monday afternoon.

The FDNY says the fire broke out just after 4:30 p.m. in the storage room of the 1540 Broadway tower on 54th Street.

Approximately 120 people have been evacuated as nearly 100 firefighters work to bring the blaze under control.

No injuries have been reported.
