Fire Breaks Out At Vacant Home In Far Rockaway, At Least 3 Firefighters Hurt

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A fire broke out at a home in the Far Rockaway neighborhood of Queens, injuring at least three firefighters.

Fire officials say the home on Ocean Crest Boulevard was unoccupied at the time.

The flames were concentrated on the first floor and in the basement.

Three firefighters suffered minor injuries in the battle. One was taken to the hospital for treatment, but all three are expected to be OK.

There is no report yet as to the cause.
