FDNY Quickly Puts Out Fire At Vacant Hotel Pennsylvania In Midtown

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A fire broke out Monday afternoon at the Hotel Pennsylvania across from Madison Square Garden in Midtown.

FDNY officials said it started around 2 p.m. on the second floor of the vacant 23-story hotel.

Heavy smoke could be seen for blocks.

More than 70 firefighters were able to put out the flames by around 3 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
