Police Search For Driver In Fatal Hit-And-Run In Lynbrook

LYNBROOK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - The search is on for a hit-and-run driver who killed a man in his 70s Thursday night on Long Island.

Police say the crash happened around 8 p.m. on Merrick Road and Blossom Heath Avenue in Lynbrook.

Investigators say one of the victim's shoes was left in the middle of the road after the impact. That man has not been identified but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they're looking for a black car that was seen leaving the accident.
