Fatal Crash Snags New Jersey Turnpike In Cranbury Township

CRANBURY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- One person was killed Tuesday night in a fiery crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Cranbury Township.

The crash happened late Tuesday night on the inner roadway on the northbound side of the turnpike (I-95), north of Interchange 8-New Jersey Route 33, authorities told CBS2.

New Jersey State Police said three tractor-trailers were involved in the fiery crash, which forced the closure of all northbound lanes.

Traffic was backed up for 2 1/2 miles, authorities said.
