Farmingdale Mother Accused Of DWI With Child In Car

ROOSEVELT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Long Island woman is accused of driving drunk with her 8-year-old son in the car.

Sheri Hinds, of Farmingdale, was pulled over at around 6:45 a.m. Sunday for speeding in Roosevelt, Nassau County Police said.

Authorities said that's when officers realized the 28-year-old woman was intoxicated with her son in the car.

Police arrested Hinds and she was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child and other crimes.

Hinds' husband was called to pick up the child. She is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
