False Alarm Leads To Evacuation At National Sept. 11 Memorial & Museum

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A false alarm caused a brief scare at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum last week.

About 30 to 40 guests were rushed to the nearest exit when an alarm sounded last Friday, just two days after the museum opened to the public, CBS 2 reported.

Some guests said it took about five minutes to reach daylight, CBS 2 reported.

The museum has not yet commented on the incident.
