Facebook 'Most Used Words' App Sparks Privacy Concerns

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Privacy concerns have been raised in connection with a popular app on Facebook.

Our colleagues at CBS Denver recently reported on privacy concerns raised by the "Most Used Words" app that some 16 million people have used.

One site dedicated to comparing tech products called the app a "privacy nightmare."

In case you'd like to delete the app, here's how you do it:

On a desktop:

– Click the upside down arrow in the top right
– Go to 'Settings'
– Click on 'Apps'
– Then edit settings or remove apps as needed.

Using the Facebook mobile app:

– Click on the 'More' menu
– Go to 'Settings' followed by 'Account Settings
– Click on 'Apps' then 'Logged in with Facebook' and edit settings or remove apps as needed
