Elizabeth H.S. Marching Band To Perform At Super Bowl Pre-Game Show

ELIZABETH, N.J. (WLNY) -- The Super Bowl is two days away and the Elizabeth High School marching band is getting ready to perform in the pre-game show Sunday.

The 147-member band found out they would be performing at the big event in October, right around the time they won their last national and state championships, WLNY's Sonia Moghe reported.

The students said they are very excited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"I've never been to a Super Bowl so it's really exciting," senior Christian Via.

"Being at the Super Bowl with an opportunity to play in front of so many people is a thrill for the community, and the kids, and the staff and the parents," director Wayne Dillon said.

The band's 10-minue performance will begin at 2 p.m. at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
