Manning: 'It Was Great' Having Cruz Back

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is elated to have Victor Cruz back.

Cruz, who missed most of 2014 with a knee injury and all of last season with a bad calf, finished with four catches for 34 yards, including the go-ahead touchdown, in his first game in nearly two years in the Giants' 20-19 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

"I thought it was great. I thought Victor played well, made some nice catches, had a nice in route on a two-minute drive before the half, hit him for about 20 yards, and he jumped up and made the catch," Manning told WFAN's Mike Francesa on Monday.

Manning said he's expecting more to come from his wide receiver.

"I was excited to see him just make the plays that were there and I think there will be more to come. We'll start seeing him making guys miss, start moving around and being that agile guy we're used to seeing," Manning said. "That was a great start for him to get catches, making plays and obviously to get that touchdown at the end."
