Elementary Students Taught To 'Think Pink' For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - An elementary school in Nassau County is showing support for Breast Cancer Awarness Month.

Many students dressed in pink for a day of "Think Pink" events.

The students at Riverside Elementary started the day by planting flowers that will bloom pink outside the school in Rockville Centre.

They later wrote notes of positive messages for cancer patients at Mercy Medical Center's Bishop McGann Center for Oncology and Imaging and inpatients on the hospital's oncology unit.
