Elderly Woman With Alzheimer's Reported Missing In Union City

UNION CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for an elderly woman with Alzheimer's who was reported missing Monday evening from Union City, New Jersey.

Maria DeLeon, 72, of Clifton, was last seen at 7:20 p.m. Monday in the area of 43rd Street and Bergenline Avenue in Union City.

DeLeon suffers from Alzheimer's, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hypertension and diabetes. Police say she only speaks Spanish. She has no family members in the area she went missing from, police say. The family she does have describes her as a shy person.

DeLeon is 5'3", 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a light gray t-shirt and jeans.
