Prosecutors: 32-Year-Old NJ Woman Charged With Murder Of 90-Year-Old Man

EAST ORANGE, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities have made an arrest in the slaying of a 90-year-old man found dead in his northern New Jersey apartment earlier this month.

Essex County prosecutors say 32-year-old Jocelyn Dahta, of Orange, is charged with murder in the death of Henry Boyd.

A motive for the attack has not been determined. But prosecutors say Dahta and Boyd knew each other.

Boyd was found unresponsive in his East Orange apartment by a family member, authorities said. Following an autopsy, Boyd's death was ruled a homicide caused by compression of the throat and fracture of the larynx. The East Orange man was found Feb. 9.

Dahta's bail was set at $750,000, and it wasn't known Wednesday if she has retained an attorney.
