Boy, 17, Killed In East Williamsburg Stabbing

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 17-year-old boy was killed late Wednesday afternoon in a stabbing in an East Williamsburg, Brooklyn park.

Around 4:45 p.m., the boy was stabbed in the torso a park at Lorimer Street and Montrose Avenue, police said. Sternberg Park is located at the intersection.

The victim was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital Center, police said.

Sources told CBS2 the victim was involved in some kind of a fight prior to the stabbing. His name had not been released late Wednesday pending family notification.

There had been no arrests in the incident as of early Wednesday evening.
