Sources: Man In East Village Punched After Suspect Accuses Him Of Walking Too Close

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An argument over sidewalk space in Manhattan turned violent earlier this month.

Police are looking for a man accused of punching a 68-year-old man in the face.

It happened on Avenue D in the East Village on Feb. 4.

Sources tell CBS2 the dispute started because the suspect claimed the victim was walking too close.

The punch left the victim with a black eye and swelling.
