Dump Truck Rips Down Power Lines, Catches Fire In Teterboro, N.J.

TETERBORO, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A fire broke out in Teterboro Monday afternoon, when a dump truck hit power lines and knocked them down from multiple utility poles.

Around 12:30 p.m., the dump truck hit the power lines at 612 Huyler St. in Teterboro, officials told CBS 2.

The wires came down and the front of the dump truck caught fire, authorities said.

Public Service Electric & Gas was called to the scene. There were no injuries.

Power was briefly out in downtown Little Ferry Monday afternoon, authorities said.
