14 Suspects, Including Blood Gang Members, Arrested In LI Drug Bust

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Suffolk County Police have arrested more than a dozen people accused of selling and distributing heroin and cocaine.

Guns, kilograms of cocaine and around $95,000 are among some of the items confiscated in the investigation, WCBS 880's Mike Xirinachs reported.

Officials say the cash was found hidden in a trap in a vehicle's console and an aquarium stand in an alleged dealer's home.

Investigators say 14 people, including three members of the Bloods street gang, have been arrested so far and more arrests are expected.

Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota and members of a drug task force are holding a news conference Tuesday to announce the arrests of the suspects, who officials say are members of two drug rings.
