Ronkonkoma Man Drowns At Smith Point County Park In Mastic Beach
MASTIC BEACH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Suffolk County Police are investigating the drowning death of a man at Smith Point County Park in Mastic Beach Monday.
Police say 48-year-old Kerry Agosto, of Ronkonkoma, was found floating in the water unconscious near the shore just after noon.
A witness told police that Agosto had been swimming. A beachgoer then pulled the swimmer out of the water and attempted CPR.
The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
