Female Empowerment Center Stage At NYC's Annual Dominican Day Parade

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Dominican flavor will be on full display today in Midtown for the 35th annual Dominican Day parade.

The theme for this year's parade is "honoring and empowering the Dominican woman."

The parade kicks off at noon on 36th Street and 6th Avenue, and continues through 52nd Street and 6th Avenue.

Among those honored will be Nurys De Oleo, Senior Advisor at the Office of NYS Senator Adriano Espaillat, Alejandra Castillo, National Director, Minority Business Development Agency and Clarissa Molina, who was crowned Nuestra Belleza Latina 2016.
