Woman Reunited With Dog That Was Stolen From Outside Upper Manhattan Grocery Store

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman whose dog was stolen outside an Upper Manhattan grocery store has now been reunited with her pet.

The dog snatching was caught on camera on Sunday. It happened on Broadway near West 107th Street.

The NYPD released video of an individual seen first petting the dog, then walking away with it.

Police say the dog's owner, a 74-year-old woman, briefly left the dog outside to go into a grocery store.

The dog was gone by the time she came outside.

NYPD 24th Precinct tweeted Wednesday evening that the dog, Luca, had been reunited with his owner.

The precinct did not say if the individual who took the dog is facing any charges.
