Car Stolen From Outside Newark Airport With Family's Dog Inside

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – The search is on for a car that was stolen outside Newark Liberty International Airport with a dog inside.

Port Authority Police say the 2017 blue BMW with temporary New Jersey plates was idling outside Terminal C around 6:30 a.m. Thursday when it was stolen.

The thief took off with a 25 pound adult Jack Russell Terrier inside.

Video from Chopper 2 showed police searching the area for the car and the dog.
