Division Avenue High School Reopens After Asbestos Concerns

LEVITTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Division Avenue High School in Levittown reopened for classes Friday, after being shut down on Thursday.

The school shut down yesterday due to a safety concern, CBS2 reported.

A contractor drilled into an area where school officials suspected asbestos might be present.

The contractor was trying to replace light fixtures when the incident happened.

Officials say crews conducted testing and found no evidence of contamination.
