Devils Sign Former Ranger John Moore, Blake Coleman

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Devils have signed former Rangers defenseman John Moore to a three-year deal with an average annual value of $1.66 million.

The 24-year-old Illinois native was a Ranger from 2012-14, and was traded to the Coyotes on March 1 in the deal that brought Keith Yandle to New York.

In 57 games last season, the former first-round pick recorded two goals and added nine assists.

New Jersey also signed forward Blake Coleman to a two-year entry-level deal.

The 22-year-old Texas native was a third-round pick of the Devils in 2011.

The Devils also signed 26-year-old winger Paul Thompson.
