Whittier detectives have not said if they're investigating the death as a homicide or suicide. However, The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday that it was a suspected suicide.

"At this time, there are no signs of foul play, and this incident is being investigated as a suicide," Whittier police told the newspaper. "However, this is an ongoing investigation."
