Suffolk County Community On Alert After String Of Luring Incidents
DEER PARK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Parents in one Suffolk County community are on high alert following a string of luring attempts.
The Deer Park School District is warning residents about a luring incident involving a sixth-grader at Robert Frost Middle School.
A safety alert posted on the district website said a student was approached last Friday by a man in a dark Mercedes-Benz wearing a black mask and sunglasses.
Police said the incident follows two other luring attempts in the area, one of which involved a dark red Honda.
