Rare Copy Of The Declaration Of Independence On Display In NYC

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- As we prepare to celebrate the Fourth of July, a rare copy of the Declaration of Independence is on display here in New York City.

Visitors to the New York Public Library can see a copy of the historic document handwritten by Thomas Jefferson.

The copy will be on display at the main branch of the library on 42nd Street.

It's available for viewing on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The exhibition is free.
