Deal Among 3 New Jersey Towns Included In $26M Beach Replenishment Project

DEAL, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A Jersey Shore beach known for trying to restrict public access is getting new sand paid for by federal and state taxpayers.
Deal in Monmouth County is one of three towns included in a $26 million beach replenishment project.
The federal government will foot about two-thirds of the bill.
Deal has tried to enact laws allowing only town residents to park there in the summer as a way to keep only locals on the beach.
