29-Year-Old Delivery Man In Critical Condition After Brooklyn Hit-And-Run

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver that critically injured a 29-year-old man in Brooklyn.

According to police, a 29-year-old delivery man driving a scooter was struck by a dark-colored Chrysler four-door while riding on Nostrand Avenue in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn at around 10 p.m. Saturday night.

The vehicle then fled the scene, police said.

Witnesses say the victim was just doing his job delivering take out when he was hit.

"All I saw was this gentleman in the roadway being attended by paramedics, police and fire officers," witness Jacob Job told CBS2's Magdalena Doris.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
