NYPD: Police Confiscate Multiple Guns From Alleged Brooklyn Drug Dealer

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Armed with a warrant, police this past weekend arrested an alleged drug dealer in Brooklyn and confiscated an arsenal of guns, the NYPD said.

At 6:10 a.m. Saturday, 77th Precinct Anti-Crime officers executed the warrant at 1798 Pacific St. in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, police said.

They had intended to apprehend a suspect who was known to deal drugs and possess firearms based on information obtained by an Anti-Crime Unit officer, police said.

At the scene, police arrested Joseph Candelaria, 43, without incident. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.

In searching his home, police found a Mossenberg rifle, a Winchester rifle, a Stevens rifle, an imitation rifle, a Cobra .380 firearm, 10 grams of MDMA or ecstasy, and a small amount of marijuana, police said.
