Crime Stoppers Offers $2,500 Reward For Information In Hudson Valley Woman's Death

HYDE PARK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case of a woman who was found dead at a former Hudson Valley psychiatric center.

State police said 27-year-old Jerusha Christie's body was found near a storage shed at the former Hudson River Psychiatric Center in the Dutchess County town of Hyde Park.

Office of Mental Health employees working nearby made the discovery, according to state troopers.

Authorities said the Poughkeepsie woman's death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy was conducted by the county medical examiner's office.

Christie was last seen on Monday in the city of Poughkeepsie, troopers said.

The $2,500 reward is being offered by New York State Crime Stoppers.
