Crews Respond To Water Main Break In Paramus

PARAMUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Crews are working to repair a water main break in New Jersey.

United Water says the 12-inch water main broke around 2 a.m. Tuesday in Paramus. It happened on Route 17 South between Midland Avenue and Ridgewood Avenue.

Officials say one southbound lane is closed while repairs take place. The northbound side has been reopened to traffic.

No word yet on what caused the main to break or how long repairs will take.
