Crews Back To Work On New Tappan Zee Bridge Amid More Snow
TARRYTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Yet another winter storm is making for a tough morning commute across the region.
But as WCBS 880's Sean Adams reported, some aren't reporting to work in a warm office in this weather.
Tuesday was the first day back to work for the pile drivers for the new Tappan Zee Bridge.
Crews were out on the icy Hudson River with the wind and snow in their faces.
"It's not too fun at all. Sometimes we're underneath the span, the center span. When the plows go by, it could knock everything down," worker Brett Gross told Adams. "Safety first, as everyone says. It's fun though, I like it. I love my job."

The slick conditions also made for treacherous walking Tuesday morning.
"There's a lot of snow on top of the ice and so you can't really tell and so I almost fell like four times," Tarrytown resident Jason Oquendo told Adams. "I kinda just shuffle my feet and hopefully I'll be OK."
"I actually love the snow, it's just been a lot," Oquendo added.
The snow will turn to rain before wrapping up by mid-afternoon. Temperatures are expected to be in the 40s for the rest of the week.
