NJ Husband Has Emotional Reunion With Wife: 'It Could Have Been Me'

HOBOKEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- The NJ TRANSIT crash in Hoboken led to an emotional reunion for one family in New Jersey.

Johnny Harris was on the train that struck the station Thursday morning, but he got off in Woodbridge just minutes before it made impact.

When he learned about the tragedy, he immediately called his wife to let he know that he was OK.

"It could have been me," he told CBS2. "So I just, I was like wow, that was scary."

His wife, Cassandra, said she was grateful to receive the good news.

"When I got to work, he called me and said, 'You know that was my train.' So I was like, alright, let me go in the bathroom and get myself together," she said. "I had to go and pray and was like, thank you Jesus."

The couple said they will share extra hugs and dinner together after this trying day.
