Consumer Alert: $75 Costco Coupon Being Shared On Facebook Is A Scam, Store Says

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – There is a consumer alert for Costco shoppers.

The warehouse shopping club chain says a $75 coupon that's popping up on Facebook is a fake.

The phony offer prompts users to click on a link – which is not affiliated with Costco – to get the coupon and then share it on Facebook along with some personal information.

This is the second year in a row Costco has had to warn customers about a phony coupon scam.
