Cops: Suspect Flagged Down Livery Cab, Choked Driver During Robbery
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that took place in the Bronx on Monday night.
Shortly before midnight a Hispanic male flagged down a livery cab on Westchester Ave. While on Lowell Street, the suspect demanded money from the driver while using his seatbelt to choke him, police said.
The suspect fled with the victim's cell phone.
