Cops: Man With Gun Threatened To Shoot People Inside Manhattan Church

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are on the hunt for a man they said brandished a weapon, causing alarm inside a church in Manhattan last week.

Authorities said the man walked into The Advent Lutheran Church on Broadway around 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 23 and displayed a black firearm.

They said the man approached a 60-year-old male victim and stated "I'm going to kill people" before fleeing in unknown direction.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police described the suspect as a white male in his 30's, about 5'8", 180 pounds, and wearing a gray jacket and black jeans.
