Cops: Man Grabbed Woman's Wallet, Fled Into Lower Manhattan Park

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in tracking down a man wanted in connection with a robbery that took place at a subway station in Lower Manhattan.

On Wednesday at approximately 8:35 a.m. a 28-year-old woman was exiting the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall Subway station at the Chambers Street staircase when the suspect approached her from behind, reached into her purse and removed her wallet before fleeing toward City Hall Park, police said.

The suspect has been described as  black male, between the ages of 40 and 50, he was 5'11", 170-lbs and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a brown shirt and green writing.
