Cops: 8 Arrested For Selling Alcohol To A Minor In Suffolk County

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Eight people were arrested after they allegedly sold alcohol to a minor at several businesses in Bay Shore, West Islip, and Islip on Friday night.

Authorities conducted an initiative into the sale of alcohol to underage persons at 29 establishments, eight were found to be in violation, Suffolk County Police said.

Employees at multiple gas stations including Gulf, Citgo, and USA Gas were picked up during the bust along with employees of Village Market and Brightwaters Wine And Liquor in Bay Shore, Oak Neck Wine and Liquors in West Islip, and Parmer Liquors in Islip.

Murat Kucukaltun, 34, Sabit Akyol, 20, Muhammed Khan, 32, Malike Gunes, 45, Ricardo Negrete, 39, Certin Aybali, 36, Abdul Quershi, 57, and Ranbir Singh, 66, were issued Field Appearance Tickets and will appear at a First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
