Cops: 3 Women Injured In Jersey City Housing Complex Shooting

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Three women were shot early Sunday after two gunmen fired into a crowd outside a housing complex near Jersey City's downtown, police said.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight at Montgomery Court, which is west of the New Jersey Turnpike Extension off Montgomery Street.

Jersey City Police Spokesman Bob McHugh tells The Jersey Journal that the gunmen are still at large after firing multiple rounds into the crowd and fleeing on foot.

The three women are Jersey City residents ages 40, 32 and 29.

McHugh says all three women are in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries at Jersey City Medical Center.
